FAQ
- What aggregate do I need for FAST NUCES?
- FAST uses their own NU Test. No fixed aggregate cutoff is published but realistically, 70%+ in FSc alongside a solid NU Test score gets you in the conversation. The test carries more weight than your FSc marks.
- Does FAST accept O-level and A-level students?
- Yes, across all campuses. They calculate your equivalence through IBCC. O/A level students regularly get in — just make sure your Math and Physics coverage is strong for engineering and CS programs.
- How many seats does FAST offer?
- FAST has 6 campuses — Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Chiniot-Faisalabad, and Multan. Combined, the intake is one of the largest in CS and engineering in the country.
- Does FAST offer need-based scholarships?
- Yes. Each campus manages scholarships somewhat independently, so check directly with the campus you are applying to. Need-based waivers are available and worth applying for.
- What happens after the FAST merit list?
- Pay your semester fee within the deadline to lock in your seat. FAST moves quickly and seats can be released if you miss the payment window — so do not wait around.
- What is the FAST fee structure?
- Roughly Rs. 100,000 to 180,000 per semester depending on the campus and program. One of the more affordable private university options for CS and software engineering in Pakistan.
- Can I apply to multiple FAST campuses?
- Yes. You can apply to multiple campuses in one application and rank your preferences. This is a smart move — it increases your chances significantly if you are flexible on location.
