FAQ
- What aggregate do I need for IBA Karachi?
- IBA does not publish a fixed aggregate cutoff. Their own admission test is the real filter — grades matter but your test performance is what gets you through the first gate, followed by an interview. Focus on the test first.
- Does IBA accept O-level and A-level students?
- Yes, and IBA has historically been very welcoming of Cambridge-educated students. Make sure your subjects align with the program — for BBA you need strong Math, for CS you need Math and ideally some computing background.
- How many seats does IBA offer?
- IBA is small by design — around 200 to 300 students per year across all programs. They keep class sizes small on purpose, which is part of why the degree carries weight.
- Does IBA offer need-based scholarships?
- Yes, IBA has a solid financial aid program and a significant portion of students receive some form of assistance. Apply for financial aid through their office — the process runs alongside admissions.
- What happens after the IBA merit list?
- You get an offer with a deadline to pay your initial admission fee. IBA also runs document verification. If you get an interview call, prepare well because it is a meaningful part of the selection.
- What is the IBA fee structure?
- Around Rs. 150,000 to 250,000 per semester. Financial aid can bring this down significantly for eligible students — do not let the sticker price scare you off without checking your aid eligibility.
- Can I apply to multiple programs at IBA?
- You apply to IBA once and can express a preference for programs. They may consider you for an alternate program if your first choice is not available.
