- What aggregate do I need to get into LUMS?
- LUMS does not publish a fixed aggregate cutoff. Your LCAT score is the main thing that gets you in — they look at the full picture including your grades and sometimes an interview. Past students have gotten in across a wide range of aggregates, so do not count yourself out before you try.
- Does LUMS accept O-level and A-level students?
- Yes, absolutely. LUMS converts your grades using IBCC equivalence, so you are not at a disadvantage compared to FSc students. Just make sure your subjects match the program requirements — especially for SDSB (business) and SSE (sciences and engineering).
- How many seats does LUMS offer?
- Around 500 to 600 students are admitted annually across all programs. Competition is intense — they receive thousands of applications for those spots, so the acceptance rate is quite low.
- Does LUMS offer need-based scholarships?
- Yes, and it is one of the best financial aid programs in Pakistan. LUMS explicitly says no student should be turned away because of money. Apply for financial aid separately through their office — do it at the same time as your admission application.
- What happens after the LUMS merit list?
- You will receive an offer letter with a deadline — usually 1 to 2 weeks — to accept and pay the initial seat deposit. If you are on the waiting list, keep an eye on your email because seats do open up.
- What is the LUMS fee structure?
- Roughly Rs. 250,000 to 350,000 per semester depending on the program. With financial aid, eligible students can get significant reductions — some close to a full waiver. Always apply for aid alongside your admission.
- Can I apply to multiple programs at LUMS?
- Yes — within one application you can list multiple program preferences in order. LUMS considers you for each one based on your test performance and grades.
